Corriedale is a charming, white fibre with a dense, soft feel. It is a good choice for the beginner spinner. A cross-breed of the merino and Lincoln Longwool, this fibre combines the fineness of merino (averaging 25-30 microns), with the lustre of the longer-stapled Lincoln sheep. Average staple length is 7.5 - 12.5cm. Corriedale is a versatile fibre which can be easily dyed and is suitable for felting.
